Price Guide: £3.00
The second of two 2006 designs marking the 150th anniversary of the Victoria Cross, this 50p depicts the medal itself - a bronze cross bearing the words "For Valour" - rather than a scene of the acts of bravery it was instituted to recognise, as its companion "Heroic Acts" design does.
Struck for general circulation, it's a common find popular with collectors interested in military history and medals.
Every finish The Royal Mint issued for this design, with issue price, mintage and value where known.
