Disclaimer
Coin values are estimates, not valuations
Every 50 pence coin remains legal tender worth its face value of 50p. Beyond that, any "guide value" published on this Site is our own estimate, compiled from Royal Mint issue prices, published mintage figures, and observed collector sale patterns on public marketplaces. It is not a professional appraisal, not a formal valuation for insurance, probate, sale, or any legal purpose, and not a guarantee that any coin will sell for the figure shown. Actual sale prices depend heavily on the coin's condition, grading, provenance and buyer demand at the time of sale, and can rise or fall over time.
No investment advice
Nothing on this Site is investment, financial, tax or legal advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any coin. Coin collecting carries the risk that you may not be able to sell a coin for what you paid for it. If you are considering a significant purchase or sale, seek an independent, qualified valuation.
Accuracy of data
We compile mintage figures, specifications and release dates in good faith from Royal Mint publications and other public sources, and correct errors when we find them. Figures - especially mintage - are sometimes revised by The Royal Mint after a coin's release, and our database may not always reflect the very latest revision. If you spot an error, please tell us at admin@50pence.co.uk.
Not a dealer
We do not buy, sell, authenticate, or grade coins. Any Royal Mint or third-party marketplace links on this Site are provided for reference and convenience only - see our Affiliate Disclosure.
