Description
Olympic Boccia 50p
This coin is also known as wheelchair bowls or Paralympic bowls.
The designer of the Boccia coin
Justin Chung is a third-year student at the Manchester School of Architecture. He chose the Boccia coin as it was a sport he didn’t know lots about and spent time watching many films online to understand how the game is played. In particular, he wanted to capture the facial expression of a Paralympian taking part in the sport as this was something he found particularly interesting.
