Benjamin Bunny, Peter Rabbit's cousin from Beatrix Potter's 1904 story, joined the Royal Mint's Beatrix Potter 50p series as the character range expanded beyond the original three. The design shows Benjamin in his clogs and jacket, taken from Potter's original book illustrations.
As with the rest of the series, Benjamin Bunny was struck for general circulation in significant numbers, making it one of the more commonly found Beatrix Potter 50ps in everyday change.
